Welcome to our dream home!

Nick and Claudia are an unusual couple, to say the least!

Even though Nick was born in England, to Texan parents, he was always drawn to the warm qualities of Latin and Caribbean cultures. Upon graduating from U of Chicago and an MBA from Thunderbird International School of Business, he decided to start travelling. After a few stints in Spain, he moved to Chile in the mid-90’s where he met Claudia.

On the other side of the world, Claudia, a French-Caribbean born, was feeling as restless as Nick. After living in different places and graduating from French business school, she landed a job with the French government, which took her to the United States, Venezuela, Colombia and finally Chile.

Being serious travelers, Claudia and Nick, together have experienced many countries and cultures, always bringing back with them the dream of an exotic place where they could assemble all these images and experiences. A place they could call “their dream place”.

For more than 20 years now, Nick and Claudia have experienced every summer in the Caribbean to a great extent, always coming back to Guadeloupe, the place long coined by Nick as the paradise where he would like to finish his days.

Their dream finally came true when Claudia stumbled upon their dream home just a few kilometers from her childhood home: a 20-year old creole house perched on a lush hill with one of the most stunning views the island has to offer.

They wanted to call their villa "Casa La Colline" in memory of their Chilean connections and Claudia’s French heritage.

Casa la Colline was born to offer guests a unique French-Caribbean experience, mixed with all the experiences we have acquired from our trips in different parts of the globe.
